Happy Birthday Nate!!!!

On Tuesday, Nathan celebrated his 4th birthday and we were so happy to celebrate with him!
This little boy sure is growing up fast! Everyday he brings so much joy, laughter & smiles to all the people in his life. He is a precious boy. At Nathan's party we all shared something that we love about him. Let me tell you, this boy is LOVED! From his sweet and gentle ways, to the funny things his says, to all the silly things little boys do...we love it all! He is growing up to be a strong, independent, sensitive, caring little man. We love him and are so proud of him.
Happy Birthday Nathan!

Check It Out!

Just wanted to let you all know that I have updated our blog and there are four new posts! I am sorry that I haven't been very good at keeping up with our blog more frequently. It's a little tricky right now since we don't have internet at home:( So I try to do as much as a can when I get the opportunity. Make sure you scroll down and check out all that we have been up to!

Just Had To Share

I love this man.
I love these kids.
I love moments like this.

Homemade Fun

This past weekend was cold, rainy and pretty much just miserable outside :( With not being able to get outdoors to play, we had to get creative indoors to keep everyone busy. We decided to make homemade play dough which is something my mom used to do with me when I was a kid. It is so quick and easy to make and keeps the kids busy for hours!
All you need to make your own play dough is:
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons cooking oil
food coloring
Heat all the ingredients (except food coloring) in a pot on medium heat stirring constantly until mixture is the consistency of mashed potatoes. Form a ball and remove from pot. Kneed dough for about 3 minutes and add food coloring to make it any color you choose.

I made one batch and had enough dough to give each kid their own portion. It's a great project because the kids can help make it and play with it. I have a feeling I will be making a LOT of play dough this winter :)

New Adventures

Emma is on a new adventure...the adventure of learning how to play the Viola!
Emma has the opportunity at her school this year to learn how to play an instrument and she has chosen to try out the Viola. This was a big decision and huge commitment for Emma and she is so excited about this new challenge. She has had her viola for a few weeks now and has been practicing everyday. She has already improved so much and sounds pretty good! Not that I'm surprised with all the musical talent she has inherited from her parents :) We are proud of Emma for trying new things and challenging herself.

Fall Fun

Apples, pumpkins, mums, colored leaves, cooler weather...I love everything about fall! We have been enjoying the season together and had fun getting some pumpkins & mums to decorate around the house.
Nate, Abby & Emma each got to choose their own pumpkin which they are all so proud of.
And they all helped pick out these pretty mums.
