Picnic at the Playground

After haircuts, it was off to the playground for a picnic lunch. We had so much fun being outside enjoying the beautiful, warm, spring day!!

While we were at the playground, we heard the music of an ice cream truck nearby. Well, all three kids beamed with excitement that the ice cream truck was here!! We all ran toward the parking lot to discover the ice cream truck parked on the next road over and he was just about to leave. We tried to flag him down but he didn't see us. Then we contemplated hopping the fence and tresspassing through someone's yard to get to the truck...but decided that wouldn't be a good idea. So, as the ice cream truck was pulling away, Jake had a great idea to chase him down in our car! Quickly, we packed up our things, loaded everyone in the car and headed out of the parking lot following the music of the ice cream truck. A couple streets over we found him and this time we were able to get his attention!

Finally we got our ice cream!
