The kids had a harvest party at their church last Friday night that they missed so that they could spend time with Nana, Auntie Christine and their cousins. Since they missed their party, they also missed their opportunity to dress up in costumes. So, in tote with them this weekend were all the kids' costumes and we had a special dress up time on Sunday. Nate (unfourtunately) didn't want anything to do with his awesome red dragon costume. Emma and Abby on the other hand didn't pass up an opportunity to dress up in their beautiful gowns! We were in the presence of two very lovely princesses on Sunday afternoon!
Abby had a couple costumes with her and one was an actual GORGEOUS princess dress, but she insisted on wearing this other (also lovely but not as elaborate) pink flapper dress. Abby is a princess everyday whether or not she is wearing the dress!And Emma also had a beautiful gown! She dressed up as Lucy from the movie The Chronicles of Narnia. Doesn't she look just like Lucy?
Though Nathan and Abby didn't wear theirs, the kids' new costumes were bought by their friend Jenn. I know they missed their party but I am sure the kids will all find plenty of opportunities to play dress up in their new costumes. Thanks Jenn for being so generous to the kids!

yeah, i only saw nate put on the dragon costume once... he was sooo cute!!! i wish i could have gotten a picture. abby is so beautiful in her dress and never took it off the whole weekend. and emma is very elegant in her lucy costume. i'm glad they got some use out of them and definitely will be used in dress up in the future!
