Exploring

The kids were super excited yesterday to get out and explore the neighborhood. We couldn't get outside fast enough! The townhouse complex where we live is great because there is lots for kids to do. There are two small playgrounds, a basketball court, tennis court, mini baseball field, a pool (plus an additional wading pool that's only 1ft. deep...how great is that for little ones?!), and a walking trail. Obviously, the pool is closed for the season, but there was still plenty to check out. Our first stop was to the playground right around the corner from our building. It's not very big but the kids played on it for quite a while and we even went back later in the day!

Okay, so much to Emma's disappointment (she is mortified that her little brother is carrying around a Barbie doll) I let Nathan bring along his new favorite toy to the park. You should have seen him..he was so cute. He took care of her the whole time. He took her down the slide and pushed her on the swing. At one point she fell off the swing and Nate says, "Oh, no! She's dead! I save her!!"
Emma on the zipline...
Abby monkeying around :)
After the playground we went for a walk on the trail...

And at the end of the trail, we found the other playground. And of course we had to try that one out too!

Our next adventure will be to check out the playing fields and courts!

What a wonderful place for the
children to play and explore!

Don't worry about Nate and the
Barbie doll..My cousin used to like
to get dressed up in my dresses when he was Nate's age!

Don't you wish you had all that
enery that the kids have?!

So fun! I can't wait until we come down and they can show us all the fun stuff they have been doing. Beezy and Joe have started the countdown until our trip to PA.
