Christmas Morning

Because we got home a little late from our party the night before, we were hoping the kids would not be up too early, but we never expected them to actually sleep in. Emma was the first one up at about 7:30...not bad. After going upstairs to peek at her presents under the tree, she frantically woke up Nana because she thought Santa forgot to leave her stocking :) Nana assured her that her stocking was there and then Emma got cozy in the den watching a movie. Abby didn't wake up until after 8:00 and Nathan didn't wake up until after 9:00!!!

Emma patiently waiting for Nate to come upstairs.

After Nate finally woke up, he laid in bed and refused to come upstairs. He was excited about all the presents waiting for him but kept insisting we bring them downstairs to him! With a little encouragement we finally convinced Nate to join the rest of us.

Checking everything out.

First things first, stockings for everyone.

Emma opened all her family notes first.
Do you think Abby likes her princess ring stamps?!

Nate got a whoopie cushion in his stocking and wasn't quite sure what to do with it. So, Daddy demonstrated and Nate thought it was hilarious!

Emma, Abby and Nate each got their own laptops.

Abby with her new baby doll...
Emma with her crystal growing kit...

Emma did such a great job choosing gifts for everyone. She picked out a truck set for Nate, a Hannah Montana lunch box for Abby, an alarm clock/calendar/pencil holder for Dad, and a beautiful country flag for Nikki. Thanks Emma!

Nana and Grampa had fun opening their gifts too. Grampa got some new boots...look he's half a moose!
And Nana got some lovely new clothes from Grampa.

What a fun Christmas morning! Thanks for sharing it with us Nana and Grampa!

We did have a great Christmas
morning..we thought Nathan was
going to sleep thru lunch, but
lucky for us he decided to get
out of bed!!

It was a really quick visit..as
always you packed as much into
it as possible, and I enjoyed
every second we got to spend together.

Love,
Mom
